Omega-3 fatty acid supplements have been proven effective through research performed at the world’s most prestigious institutions and published in the leading medical journals. It’s literally documented as a cure-all.

The fact is; a supplement doesn’t “cure.” On the other hand, there’s a glut of Omega 6 fatty acids and bad fats in our systems and a colossal lack of Omega-3. Omega-3 is the healthier, anti-inflammatory type of fat necessary for both the building blocks and the overall function of the brain, nervous system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, and many major organs and systems.

Fats compete for space in the body and so the surplus of inflammatory and negative fats and the dearth of Omega-3 fats in our diet causes a complex, vast, multitude of health issues. As a result, as you add Omega-3 and the overall Omega 3 status in your body improves, quality studies show over and over again you can experience some remarkable mental and physical health changes.

Because of the importance of Omega-3s and the brain; mental health is a major area these supplements and foods can help. As an example, recent findings in the Sept. 14, 2018, JAMA Network Open revealed that Omega 3 can help in easing anxiety symptoms in people diagnosed with a range of physical and mental health problems. This report was from findings in 19 different studies on 1,200 people comparing omega-3 supplements to a placebo.

The studies involved patients with a wide range of health problems, including heart disease, ADHD, substance abuse, depression, and Parkinson’s disease, and those with many other symptoms.

Research with clinical trials has long supported omega-3 fatty acids in the treatment of depression. For instance, a systematic review and meta-analysis of 31 observational studies with more than 20,000 cases of depression published in the Journal of Affective Disorders in 2016 supported the claim that dietary omega-3 is associated with a lower risk of depression.

Brain membranes contain a high proportion of these fats, and human studies suggest that a lack of omega-3s in the brain may induce various behavioral and psychiatric disorders.

A study by the University of Oxford in 2014 found that DHA regulated sleeping patterns in children. This indicates that DHA promotes the release of melatonin and plays a role in decreasing the chances of insomnia. Omega-3 also helps raises the levels of serotonin, battling the symptoms of SAD on a second front. DHA helps with the melatonin but EPA has been shown to help with the serotonin levels. In combination with vitamin B, a study showed that omega-3 regulated the release of serotonin as well.

The clinical dose of omega-3 is 3-4 grams, with a minimum of 2 grams to get a reduction of symptoms.

The Vitalleo Omega 3 is called E + as it contains the clinical dosage of EHA and EPA required to effectively and easily raise Omega 3 status in the body towards the levels necessary for well-being.

This is a product that plays a critical part of most health recovery protocols, but as importantly; as a key piece to our daily nutritional wellness practices.
